Qatar 2022 World Cup Finals

When FIFA executives met in Zurich to decide on who would host the 2018 and 2022 World Cup Finals, Qatar was probably the biggest surprise to many.

It would become the first World Cup Finals to be held in the Middle East, and the first to take place during the European winter; from Sunday, 20th November to Sunday, 18th December 2022.

Just days before the tournament was due to begin, Qatar announced that alchohol would not be sold in the stadiums.
